About Us

Abdul Bari Academy

Abdul Bari Academy is an Islamic educational institution established in honor of the revered scholar and visionary leader Valakulam Abdul Bari Musliyar. As one of the founding figures and former President of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, Musliyar dedicated his entire life—his wealth, time, and energy—for the growth of Islamic scholarship and community welfare in Kerala. His exemplary life, profound knowledge in Fiqh, commitment to the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah, and contribution to Islamic education continue to inspire generations.

Born in 1881 (1298 AH) in Valakulam, Malappuram, Abdul Bari Musliyar emerged from a scholarly and noble family and chose a life of humility and service. He taught in renowned dars institutions, authored insightful articles in the Al-Bayān magazine, and shaped Islamic thought in Kerala through education and leadership. His role in founding Samastha, developing its syllabus, and upholding Sunni traditions remains unparalleled.

Carrying forward his noble legacy, Abdul Bari Academy provides a holistic Islamic education from Junior Daawa to Senior Daawa, guided by the curriculum and standards of Jamiathul Hind Al Islamiyya. With institutions like Masjidul Muhaimi and the outreach work of H India Foundation, we aim to nurture spiritually conscious, intellectually equipped, and socially responsible individuals.
Here at Abdul Bari Academy, we don’t just teach—we build futures grounded in knowledge, faith, and values, just as Musliyar envisioned.

We strive to inspire our students to seek knowledge with sincerity, live with purpose, lead with faith, and serve with compassion throughout their journey in this world and the Hereafter.

Our Core Values

At Abdul Bari Academy, our foundation is rooted in faith, knowledge, and service. We are committed to nurturing students with strong Islamic values, a deep connection to Allah, and excellence in both religious and general education. Inspired by the legacy of Valakulam Abdul Bari Musliyar, we emphasize sincerity in worship, discipline in life, and a pursuit of knowledge that benefits the individual and society.

We uphold values such as integrity, compassion, unity, and leadership, guiding students to become responsible members of the Ummah. Through respect for tradition and a vision for the future, we aim to shape well-rounded individuals who serve humanity with wisdom, humility, and purpose.

Our Philosophy

At Abdul Bari Academy, we believe that true education nurtures both the soul and the mind. Our philosophy is rooted in the Islamic tradition of seeking knowledge (‘Ilm) as a form of worship and a means to uplift humanity. We aim to cultivate individuals who are spiritually grounded, intellectually capable, and socially responsible.

Drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of Valakulam Abdul Bari Musliyar, we emphasize a balanced approach—where faith (Imān), character (Akhlaq), and knowledge (‘Ilm) go hand in hand. We view every student as a trust (Amānah) and strive to develop their potential through disciplined learning, critical thinking, and a sincere commitment to serve the Ummah and society.
